Sow outdoors in early spring through summer, up to two months before first fall frost. Can be started indoors six to eight weeks prior to planting outside. Transplant when nighttime temperatures are above 50°F. Prefers full sun to part shade and fertile, well-drained soil.
Harvest lightly the first season to allow plants to develop. Harvest leaves before plant flowers, by cutting back tops 6”. Use fresh and store refrigerated for up to a week, or dry for use in teas.
