Start beets outdoors in loose, well-drained soil in early spring or up to 6 weeks before first fall frost. Make a shallow trench about 1/2″ deep. Place seed tape in trench and cover firmly with soil. Keep soil evenly moist for best growth.

Plant every two to three weeks for continuous harvest. Beets prefer cool weather and can tolerate mild frost.
