Plant in well-drained soil in late spring. Optimal soil temperature for germination is 75-95°F. Beans do not tolerate frost. Thinning is not normally necessary. Support the vigorous vines with six-to-ten-foot trellises or poles.
Pick pods regularly just as they start to fill out to extend your harvest. Kentucky Wonder will get stringy if left on the vine too long.
