Corn prefers fertile, well-drained soil and consistent moisture. Sow directly outdoors in full sun after last frost date when soil is completely warm, at least 65°F (18°C). For best pollination and well-filled ears, plant in blocks of at least four rows.
Harvest when silks tum brown, the tip of the ear is filled out, and kernels spurt milky juice when punctured.
