An exceptionally cold hardy, savory spinach with glossy, green leaves. High yield Winter Giant is best planted in fall and can overwinter if mulched or grown under a row cover. Leaves are sweetest when grown in cold temperatures.

Plant in early spring and fall in full sun to part shade. Make a shallow trench about 1/2″ deep. Place seed tape in trench and cover firmly with soil. Keep soil evenly moist for best growth. If overwintering, apply organic mulch to the base of the plant.

Harvest when leaves are young and tender by pulling the entire plant, or by snipping leaves from outside the rosette.
